Dr. Humayun Chaudhary is a distinguished professor, academic leader, and practicing accounting and tax professional with over two decades of combined experience in higher education, public policy, and professional practice. He currently serves as Professor of Accounting and Taxation at Sheridan College’s Pilon School of Business and Course Director at York University’s School of Administrative Studies.
Dr. Chaudhary holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Tax Policy from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, complemented by a Master of Laws (LLM) in Business Law, an MBA in accounting, and advanced management education from the Schulich School of Business. His professional credentials are exceptionally broad and globally recognized. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA – Ontario), Certified Public Accountant (USA), Chartered global Management Accountant (CGMA), Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA – UK), and Chartered Management Accountant (UK).
This interdisciplinary and international portfolio reflects deep expertise in taxation, financial and management accounting, strategic decision-making, and business advisory. In parallel with his academic career, Dr. Chaudhary is the founder and principal of Indus Canada Chartered Professional Accountant, providing taxation, financial reporting, and strategic business advisory services to small and mid-sized enterprises. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Financial Analyst with Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, contributing to multi-million- dollar capital planning initiatives and supporting evidence-based public-sector decision-making.
